Hello Everyone!
At our North campus this Sunday, BGCA (Baptist General Conference of Alberta) District Pastor Dennis Gulley will be our guest speaker. We always enjoy when Dennis comes for a visit! Dennis' message is entitled "Generosity in Ministry Multiplication” and draws inspiration from 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, emphasizing the transformative power of sharing resources within the Christian community. It challenges us to consider what generosity looks like when the equitable and generous sharing of our resources results in the equitable sharing of the Gospel. This sermon emphasizes how such selfless giving not only strengthens the broader Church but also mirrors the nurturing grace of Christ's love. What would it look like if “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little” became a reality?
Also at our North campus, we will have our monthly Meet-and-Greet after the service. Stay, enjoy some coffee and treats, and welcome someone you haven't met before.
At our South campus, we are delighted to have a chance to serve our community by participating in the annual Calgary River and Pathway Clean-up. We'll be working to beautify our Midnapore neighbourhood by picking up trash. Please meet at the church at 10:30 for some instructions. We'll return to the church at noon to have a hotdog lunch and brag about the weirdest trash we picked up! Please click here for more information about the clean-up.
