Hello Everyone!

This weekend brings us Palm Sunday when we celebrate Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

At our North campus this Sunday, Associate Pastor Valerie Salkeld will talk about how Each day is rich with symbolism and displays how Jesus redeemed the world. In Psalm 22, we notice themes of darkness to light, forsaken to delivered, and death to life. Hosanna! Save now.

At our South campus, Worship Pastor Dave Chow will speak about the prophet Joel calls us to "rend our hearts" (Joel 2:12-13 NIV).  Normally we use this term with cloth that has been torn.  Joel calls us to rend our hearts.   It sounds quite violent, and like something that could cause pain.  At the least, we should examine our hearts - as we prepare the way for Jesus, as we make our way towards the cross of Good Friday and Holy Week.  Joel's call isn't one of masochistic self-flagellation.  It is a call to repentance and to remember who we are, and Whose we are, and what we're actually supposed to be up to.
