Everything You Need for Sunday, January 25, 2026

Hello Everyone!

At our South campus this Sunday, Pastor Jeff Edwards will talk about how the algorithms, ads, and news right now are filled with tips on how to live longer.  We all have our favorites… diets, exercise recommendations, supplements, medicines, therapies of all kinds, drinking more water, breathing!  Humans have always been drawn to longevity.  Trekkies say “long and prosper”.  What does the Chronicler say?  Come and hear a challenge that connects to our Week of Prayer and Fasting and upcoming Prayer Summit. Jeff will use 1 Chronicles 10:1-13 as his scripture reference.

Also at our south campus, we'll celebrate Communion.

At our North campus, Worship Pastor Dave Chow will talk about how the books of Chronicles end by pointing forward, encouraging God’s people to look back and see their past as the source of hope for the future.  Israel constantly forgot their identity as God’s chosen people.  They constantly forgot to look at history to see how God had worked in them and among them.  A good lesson for us.  Do we take stock and see how God has worked in our lives, and does this inform how we relate to God?  

This begs the question, “Are we looking to connect with God in a consistent way, or do we only seek Him in times of crisis?”  

1 Chronicles 16 :11 reminds us that God desires a relationship with us;  that He chose us; and that He not only wants us to represent Him to others, but that we need to seek Him first.
